Manor Farm Stables

Fifteen years ago Manor Farm Stables was a small training yard with 28 loose boxes and an uphill woodchip gallop. It now has room for 82 horses, an eight-horse covered walker and two all-weather gallops.

Manor Farm Stables was originally the dairy from which AJ & RG Barber’s cheese business started. The red brick stables and barn were originally stalls for dairy cows and the office was the parlour. Gradually and consistently the yard has grown and updated to what it is now, with all the wooden loose boxes springing from where previously only grass lay
