Located in the Mendip district of Somerset, Ditcheat village is situated 4.5 miles south of Shepton Mallet and 2.5 miles north west of Castle Cary.  Situated near the River Brue, notable Landmarks located in the area include The Church of St Mary Magdalene and the '17th Century' Manor House built by Sir Ralph Hopton.  Listed in the Domesday Book of 1086, Ditcheat in more recent times has become the home of both Paul Nicholls Manor Farm Racing Stables along with Barber's Farmhouse Cheesemakers located at nearby Maryland Farm. The Manor House Inn provides a focal point and meeting place for all within the community and has seen much of the celebrations over the past few years during Paul's successful climb to the top of his profession.
